Located within the Upper Mississippi River Valley between Minneapolis and St. Paul. This pool is within the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area corridor. There is an observation platform for visitors to watch lock operations and see towboats and barges up close.
Trails extend out around this area into different recreation areas. These trails are perfect for viewing the Mississippi River as well as plenty of wildlife. Hike along the wooded bluffs and see if you can catch a bald eagle soaring overhead.
